Every Republic Media Space created by the XR system are each
tailored to a specific function of the Republic.

<b>Portal</b><br />
The portal is the first screen seen by any use who navigates to the
base URL of the republic. It should be simple and clean and respond
very quickly. It should contain a login screen, therefore should be
SSL ready. It should indicate the relative activity of the site. New
users can register, and guests can enter the Rotunda but go no
further.<br />

All of the major events, news and happenings in the republic are
displayed in the Rotunda. The Rotunda shows at a glance what is
